Here is a example in film photography when the shutter is too fast for the light to spread. I loved the detail on the face so I made a happy accident. The medium dictates the process and molds the meaning.
A dirty negative gives almost under water feeling. Obviously, an accident love it none the less.

Infrared Digital Photography
I like to experiment a lot with my gear. This was shot in Goodale Park in Columbus, Ohio on a Nikon d700 with a 67mm IR720 Filter and modified in post. The exposure was very long as the light traveled to the nearly black IR filter in the middle of the day. It is obvious that it was windy that day but I think it adds to the effect.
